• Is Pathfinder a Credit Card?

  The Pathfinder Card is a "charge card". With this card there is no interest and your balance is due in full each billing cycle.⁵ We will help you file and submit for reimbursement from the state of Arizona for ESA eligible purposes.

• How does Pathfinder make money?

  We earn a small fee from merchants every time the card is used (it's called interchange, and it's the same way most cards work). We never sell your data and you can learn more about this in our Privacy Policy.

• Are there fees attached to the card?

  There is no application fee, no annual fee, and no interest charges. Other fees, such as late fees, may apply. See our Rates and Fees for details. We earn revenue from the merchant, not from you - the same way most cards work. This doesn't change the price you pay for any products or services.

• How do you know if items are ESA allowable?

  We have a Data Sharing Agreement with the Arizona Department of Education for the anonymized transactions that have been accepted/rejected. We have developed an AI model with the help of ESA parents to make it easy for families to transparently know what is allowable and not allowable.

• Is there a time limit as to when the card needs to be paid off?

  Each billing cycle, you'll receive a statement and a reminder to upload your receipts and documentation to submit for Arizona ESA reimbursement. All charges made on this card during each billing cycle are due and payable on your Payment Due Date. See your statement and Cardholder Agreement for complete billing cycle details.

• Is my data safe? Do you sell it?

  We never sell your data. Your information is stored on US-based secure servers. We have Bank-grade security and undergo information security audits regularly.

• Where is Pathfinder based? Who is behind Pathfinder?

  Pathfinder is a US company headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. We are incorporated in Delaware, like about 75% of Fortune 500 companies, because Delaware makes it easy for US startups to incorporate.
