Bring receipt emails into Pathfinder

Pathfinder helps families organize purchase documentation. Our optional Gmail connection imports receipt-related emails into your Pathfinder account so you can view them without uploading each email yourself.

Currently available to invited test users. The Gmail integration is being prepared for Google verification and is not yet generally available.

How it works

1. Open Gmail receipts in the Pathfinder app and review the data-use disclosure.
2. Choose Connect Gmail, sign in directly with Google, and approve read-only access.
3. Pathfinder searches the previous 90 days for emails with receipt, invoice, order confirmation, or payment confirmation in the subject, then periodically checks for new matches.
4. Review imported email text and open supported PDF, JPEG, or PNG attachments in the app. You can also request an import manually.

Imports exclude Spam, Trash, Sent, and Drafts. Subject matching can include non-receipt emails or miss receipts. Message and attachment size limits apply. This feature currently displays original email content and attachments; it does not extract purchase items or automatically submit reimbursements.

You control the connection

Google's read-only permission can read messages throughout your mailbox. Pathfinder uses it to search for and import the receipt-related messages described above. It cannot send, change, or delete messages in Gmail.

Disconnect stops imports and revokes access while keeping imported copies. Delete Gmail data stops imports and deletes those copies from Pathfinder's active database. Your original Gmail messages and separately uploaded Pathfinder receipts remain in place. Encrypted recovery backups expire within seven days.
